Here's a shot of Diane working on the fireplace (obviously), and the progress
by the end of the day, after cleanup.
As I recall, the second day was a shorter
day; I think we had to go up to Mom & Dad's to borrow a diamond saw that we never
ended up using.
Some severe termite and water damage was uncovered this day,
particularly in the header on the south side...
This is a shot of the area where the roof met the chimney. There's no salvageable wood in this picture.
